About

Betws y Coed Station, Conwy Valley Railway

Not only are there some amazing walks from Betws-y-Coed itself, but the station serves as a hub for the Snowdonia National Park Sherpa bus service, where you can catch an onward journey to see more of beautiful North Wales.  The station was originally designed as a junction for the slate freight, but was more used to provide extensive passenger services for the growing tourism trade.  So, don’t feel you have to move on, as Betws-y-Coed is a thriving walkers’ paradise with shops, cafes, accommodation and other attractions for the largely ‘walker’ population, and the former goods yard now houses the Conwy Valley Railway Museum and Miniature Railway.
